"When rape is inevitable, lie down and enjoy ", said by Congress MLA KR Kumar.

KR Ramesh Kumar, a Congress MLA, and former speaker have apologized for his rape remark on the Karnataka assembly floor on Thursday.

Ramesh Kumar stated that he has no problem apologizing if his statement offends the feelings of women. He apologized from the bottom of his heart.

KR Ramesh made a contentious rape remark on the floor of the house, and Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri laughed it off. KR Ramesh said, " When rape is inevitable, enjoy it".

He's been chastised from all sides, including within the Congress party. Syed Nasser Hussain, a Karnataka MP, is the most recent to condemn the statement. Hussain stated that the assembly was in session and that such remarks should not have been made.

Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, a Congress MLA, had already taken to social media to demand that the House apologize to all women for its rude and disgusting behavior.

When KR Ramesh Kumar was the Speaker of the Assembly in February 2019, he sparked outrage by declaring he felt like a "rape victim."

no matter from where you belong to, who you are, or which political party you support, when it comes to talking about women's equality, safety, security, education, and rights, some people of the society just behave opposite of what we expect. When we hear the word "rape", nothing positive comes to our mind because rape is an unethical, uncultured, unhuman, and non-acceptable activity.

Rape is a crime and rapists are criminals, yet so many ridiculous people still make fun of it. They say some harmful statements to society that can hurt anyone around us whether it's a man or a woman.
